Miami, Fla.—On behalf of the Board of Management of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) and the Institute for Public Management and Community Service at Florida International University, you are invited to participate in the annual conference in Rio de Janeiro from August 3rd to 8th, 2009 at the beautiful Windsor Barra Hotel which is on the beach in Rio.
The Conference theme, "Governance for Sustainable Development: Implication for Public Administration Education and Practice" is an exciting one that, in light of the global financial and governance situation, is all the more relevant. We have added two special plenary sessions addressing current critical issues. The first focuses on “Public Administration and the Global Economic and Governmental Crisis". The second looks at “Public Administration Education and Training and the New World Order". There will be English, French, Portuguese and Spanish interpretation.
IASIA is an organization of about 200 schools and institutes of public administration from throughout the world headquartered at the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) in Brussels, Belgium.
