Miami, Fla. —Currently the IPMCS is working with the State of Florida to organize the First Conference on Good Governance and Democracy in the Hemisphere: Challenges and Opportunities. Planned are a series of regional forums in Costa Rica, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay to be held in the spring of 2008, which will conclude in a final conference hosted at the Biltmore Hotel, Miami in July 8-10 of 2008.
The seminars aim to discuss democratic principles in order to encourage a favorable economic environment necessary to generate growth while strengthen ties of friendship between regional legislators, private sector representatives and civil society in the region and the State of Florida.
