Miami, Fla. —The National Assembly of Costa Rica, the State of Florida, and Florida International University’s Institute of Public Management and Community Service (IPMCS) will host the First Regional Seminar on Good Governance and Democratic Practices, Friday March 14 in the National Assembly, San Jose. At this seminar, national and international experts, members of the National Assembly and Costa Rican representatives will analyze topics on democracy, the role of political parties, decentralization and economic development.
The State of Florida and IPMCS are teaming up to engage leaders of the Americas to raise the importance of governability, free trade and democracy for the region. The Seminar is a background to promote a similar Conference in Miami, planned for July 8-10 at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami.
