For the third consecutive year the Legislature of the State of Florida, The Center for Democracy and Good Governance and the Institute of Public Management and Community Service (IPMCS) of Florida International University bring you the annual seminar on Governance and Democratic Institutions for Young Leaders of the Americas. This third edition will take place in the cities of Miami, FL and Tallahassee, FL from April 6, 2015 to April 10, 2015.
The seminar is aimed towards political leaders from our hemisphere and its objective is to encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences for building and strengthening democracy and governance throughout the Americas, as well as promoting a better understanding between the State of Florida and Latin America.
In this context, the seminar will discuss the role of parliaments, political parties, members of the executive powers, and the media among others, in strengthening democratic governance. It will also consider issues of stability and economic growth which are key to promote commercial trade between Florida and the region.
