OAS: Towards Sustainable and Resilient Communities in the Americas
In preparation for the UN World Urban Forum VII – to be held in April 2014 in Medellin – The permanent missions of the United States and Colombia to the OAS, and co-sponsors the Organization of American States, Miami-Dade County, and FIU, held a forum for mayors from Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean, “Towards Sustainable and Resilient Communities in the Americas.” The forum initiated a pilot program for cooperation, exchange of knowledge and implementation of best practices related to municipal development, economic opportunity and democratic governance.
