Since 1996, IPMCS has worked with Miami-Dade County to organize the Inter-American Conference of Mayors and Local Authorities, which annually brings to Miami more than 500 mayors and city council members from all over Latin America and the Caribbean. The Conference provides a forum for representatives of local, regional and national governments, NGOs, various international and donor organizations and all of those interested in the strengthening of local governments to share experiences, information and practices and to discuss common goals for the promotion of democratic local governance throughout the Hemisphere.

The XXII edition of the Conference will take place from June 13, 2016 to June 16, 2016 at the Hilton Hotel Downtown Miami.
